100th Day of School & Food Pantry Collectio

Our hundredth day of school is this Friday, Feb. 10th. In honor of this special day, we will be collecting toiletries and non-perishable food items for the Western Fairfax Christian Ministries. This has become a tradition at Good Shepherd/ Little Flock. Every year we collect at least 100 items to donate to a local food pantry. Help us surpass this number. The collection box will be located in the school office this week of Feb. 6th until Friday, Feb. 10th. Please read the list below for suggested items you can donate.

ü  Paper towels, toilet paper

ü  Tooth paste, tooth brushes

ü  Shampoo & conditioner                          

ü  Deodorant

ü  Laundry Detergent (28-32 oz. containers)

ü  Baby Food - Stages 1 & 3

ü  Diapers (Sizes 3 & 4)

ü  Canned vegetables  (beats, spinach & beans)

ü  Canned meats (chicken, spam and Vienna sausages)

ü  Sliced bread

ü  Jelly

ü  Sugar

ü  Flour

ü  Oil, pancake syrups & condiments (Ketchup  & Mustard )

 

Priority Re-Enrollment for 2012-2013

During this week our existing families receive a $100 discount off the registration fee. Discount expires Feb. 10th. Re-enrollment is completed online through ParentWeb. Barnes & Noble Contest

"My Favorite Teacher Contest" is a great way for students to show their teacher appreciation.  Students (grades 1-6) write an essay, poem, or thank-you letter sharing how a teacher has influenced their life and why they appreciate and admire them. The deadline for entries is March 1, 2012. Please turn in to the front office.
